Now for something extra special. 18th Century silver and agate button. It is made of agate and prong set in a fancy silver heavy duty mount. It appears the maker created the setting to fit the stone perfectly. This was found in a small collection of 17th-18th Century breeches type rock crystal and pastes in silver as well as other early gemstone buttons. Very Special and uncommon button. This comes from a set and is a bit more round than the others, although still slightly oval, and has a somewhat pearl like luster appearance. The stone has a beautiful glow in comparison to the others.
Fine condition and is an NBS Small 1/2”.
